I am the founder and Artistic Director of Humanity Play Project, a non-profit arts collective that is committed to creating performance with purpose. Our mission is to inspire critical thinking, teach empathy, and promote social justice through the arts.

For our inaugural event on Martin Luther King Day 2016, we explored the aftermath of the Charleston, SC tragedy in a curated evening of dance, poetry, song, and theatre. This performance was co-sponsored by West Los Angeles United Methodist Church.

Our longest-running project is #Right2Recess, an interactive Theatre for Young Audiences play that follows a group of third-graders whose right to recess has come under threat after the appointment of a new principal. Weaving together puppetry, rap, and improv, #Right2Recess transforms the theatre space into a place where young audiences are encouraged to explore what it takes to stand up for something important to them and make their voices heard.

Conference Presentations: AATE 2017 & AATE 2018
Winner: Best Children’s Show, NoHo Fringe Fest 2017

Our current project is a Theatre for Young Audiences play called The Catskill Kids. A workshop reading will be presented at Hengarth Farm in Prattsville, New York on Saturday, September 2, 2023.

Stay tuned for a Youth Playwriting Workshop this Fall 2023 in the Catskills!
